Maharashtra's government has signed a MoU worth Rs 10,000 crore with Web Werks for investment in a mega IT/ITES data centre over five years, with the potential to create 1,500 direct employment jobs. The MoU was signed in Davos.
The private equity (PE) inflow stood at USD 3.6 billion in the year-ago period.
Work on the 6.8 million square feet IT park, spread over 27 acres, is ongoing and the entire campus is expected to be ready by 2026.
The move will fetch the authority Rs 59.17 crore revenue. An investment of Rs 1,757.45 crore is proposed on these two data centre plots that will generate an estimated 775 jobs, the Authority noted.
At present, the CRC Group is undertaking construction of projects spread over a total of 72 lakh square feet area. The company has also collaborated with Jaypee to construct a high-end ultra-luxury residential complex with a golf course view, the firm said.
