Florida State scrambles to explain alleged abuser s long tenure
“My mind was blank and I was scared,” the unnamed student told investigators. “I didn’t know what to do. After the incident, I went to my friend’s house where I was staying and took a shower. I haven’t told anyone because it’s very hard and I couldn’t tell them because I didn’t feel I had anyone to protect me.”
Feiock had already been reported for and counseled about sexual misconduct involving students in 1991 and 2005, according to a lengthy university investigation shared first with the
Inside Higher Ed. Curiously, though, his personnel file had been purged of these records. Feiock was also reported to have sent a student sexual messages more recently. Multiple sources said Feiock’s dean at the time knew about that issue, several years ago, but did little. ....
