HAMILTON LAKE — Anyone can scrub off the day’s dirt with a hot shower and a little soap, but to shake off an entire year you have to risk hypothermia.

Lions hosting Polar Bear Plunge

The Hamilton Lions Club will not be holding the annual Jack D. Gibson Polar Bear Plunge this year. Organizers said the coronavirus pandemic is too dangerous for participants and workers. However, they encouraged everyone to make your plans for New Years’ Eve 2021, as they have every intention of hosting the event at that time. Those who want to make a donation to the Jack D. Gibson Polar Bear Plunge may send their check to: Hamilton Lions Club, P.O. Box 412, Hamilton, IN 46742. Please mark it for the scholarship fund.
