Staff Writer LISBON The Columbiana County Board of Elections certified 15 independent candidate petitions for the November general election, completing the list of partisan candidates that will appear on the ballot. Director Kim Fusco presented the board with all 15 petitions during the Wednesday afternoon board meeting and said that all the candidates met the necessary requirements for candidacy. The filing deadline for candidate’s intent to run as a write-in candidate is Aug. 23 by 4 p.m. Fusco said that vacant positions will be appointed by village and city councils at their first meetings after the election on Nov. 2.
