MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Another prison sentence is handed down for a Rochester-area drug ring.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the State of Minnesota says Deja Lee Benton, 27 or Rochester, was been given seven years in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Her prison sentence will then be followed by eight years of supervised release.
Investigators say Benton operated as a sub-distributor of meth that was supplied to her by John Willis Netherton. Benton was also accused of helping Netherton collect debts and aiding in the assault of another co-conspirator over an unpaid drug debt. ....

Rochester woman sentenced to 7 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute meth

(ABC 6 News) -  A Rochester woman has been sentenced to 7 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
According to court documents, over the summer of 2019, Deja Lee Benton, 27, was part of a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. As part of her role in the conspiracy, Benton served as a sub-distributor of methamphetamine that was supplied to her by co-conspirator John Willis Netherton. Benton also helped Netherton collect debts, and by locating, luring, and facilitating the assault of another co-conspirator regarding an unpaid drug debt owed to Netherton.
Benton pleaded guilty on September 1, 2020, to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Several co-conspirators have previously been sentenced for their roles in the conspiracy including: John Willis Netherton, who was sentenced to 260 months imprisonment followed by eight years of supervised ....
