Residents and staff at Rose Lodge Care Home celebrated the Harvest Festival by donating a food hamper to a local charity.
Staff and residents at Rose Lodge Care Home in Wisbech marked Alzheimer’s Awareness Month which is taking place throughout September.
Jane Ritchie, left, has played Martha Washington at the Northwest Colonial Festival since 2017, and says she is the same height as the first First Lady. Last Thursday through Sunday was Jeff Dacus’ second time playing George Washington as one of the many historical re-enactors who make the festival possible. Dacus said he’s been fascinated with George Washington for a long time and in his career as a middle-school history teacher in Vancouver, Wash., had many opportunities to visit historical places and further his studies.
Celebration was in the air at a Wisbech care where residents and staff enjoyed entertainment and a barbecue to celebrate staff long service.
