Wicked Local Two pivotal committees voted on June 21 to deny a ban on gun shops in Newton, which means they will not recommend the proposed ordinance to the full City Council. All members will vote on the measure July 12. The Zoning and Planning Committee and the Planning and Development Board made the decisions during a public hearing. Most of the officials said they favored the restrictive gun shop zoning approved June 2.
