Dorrene and Charles Pierce celebrate 60 years of marriage Fort Smith Times Record Dorrene and Charles Pierce of Fort Smith celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday. The couple was married on Feb. 19, 1961, in Cameron. Mr. Pierce graduated from Northeastern College, retired from the U.S. Navy and is a retired field service engineer from IBM. Mrs. Pierce is a homemaker. They have three children, Church Pierce of Mountain Home, Craig and Janie Pierce of Fort Smith and Shauna and Holly Pierce of Mount Dora, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
