Augustana has made its January Interim study-abroad travel carbon neutral for the first time in university history, thanks to the support of donors and a relationship with a forest reserve in Guatemala.
Augustana University is sending a record number of its students abroad for January Interim (J-Term) 2023 — a 4-week session between semesters designed to be a time of curricular exploration and enrichment for students. This January, 258 Augustana students and 27 faculty members are traveling to 20 countries.
Augustana University is proud to announce that its Class of 2021 nursing department graduates within its School of Health Professions achieved a 97.3% pass rate when taking the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) — the highest pass rate of all programs in South Dakota.
How does surfing in warm water adjacent to sandy beaches and a lush tropical jungle sound? How about hiking an active volcano, white water rafting or swimming in a blue pool beneath a waterfall? Along with Associate Professor of Exercise and Sport Sciences Dr. Shane Scholten and his wife, 20 Augustana University students had the opportunity to experience all of these things over the course of 20 days in Costa Rica.
