The Daily Reporter Michigan State Police arrested Alexander Zuchnik, 39, as part of a major investigation into catalytic converter thefts plaguing this region of Michigan. Zuchnik, of Three Rivers, was taken into custody in late April in Fort Wayne, Ind., on a warrant charging him with three counts of larceny from a motor vehicle in Branch County in November and December 2020. His arraignment was held Monday in Coldwater. Each charge is a five-year felony, but with Zuchnik’s record of conviction in St. Joseph County, he could face up to life in prison as a fourth habitual offender.
