A scrap metal operation on the Providence River has been at the center of a fight with state environmental authorities.
The 8.6-acre property is owned by Ralph and Jared Sevinor, a father-son duo who also own and operate Rhode Island Recycled Metals.
The owners of Rhode Island Recycled Metals (RIRM), which has been entangled in environmental controversies for more than a decade, have purchased the adjacent parcel of land.
