New Delhi [India], July 3 (ANI): A Delhi court on Saturday extended the interim protection from arrest to alleged gangster-turned-activistLakha Sidhana till July 20, in connection with Republic Day violence case, observing that it did not want 'Jail Bharo Andolan'.
The court said that it did not want to intervene in things where fundamental rights are involved while granting him relief.
"We (court) do not want to start Jail Bharo Andolan. These are political issues. If they [protesters] wanted to highlight the issue, are they wrong?" Tis Hazari's Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau said while granting interim relief to Sidhana till next date of hearing, July 20.

Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau directed Delhi Police to not arrest Sidhana till July 20. The court also said it does not want a ‘Jail Bharo Andolan” to start.
Sidhana, who was earlier granted protection till July 3, has been directed to join the probe.
“We do not want Jail Bharo Andolan to start. These are political issues. If they (protesters) wanted to highlight the issue, are they wrong? I will not intervene in things where fundamental rights are involved,” the judge said while granting him relief.

गणतंत्र दिवस पर लाल किले में हुई हिंसा के मामले में दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने गैंगस्टर से कार्यकर्ता बने लक्खा सिधाना को दी गई अंतरिम सुरक्षा की अवधि बढ़ा दी है। इस दौरान अदालत ने शनिवार को कहा कि वह उन चीजों में हस्तक्षेप नहीं करेगी जहां मौलिक अधिकार शामिल हैं। 
अतिरिक्त सत्र न्यायाधीश कामिनी लॉ ने दिल्ली पुलिस को 20 जुलाई तक लक्खा सिधाना को गिरफ्तार नहीं करने का निर्देश दिया। अदालत ने यह भी कहा कि वह 'जेल भरो आंदोलन' शुरू नहीं करना चाहती। सिधाना को पहले तीन जुलाई तक गिरफ्तारी से अंतरिम सुरक्षा दी गई थी और उसे जांच में शामिल होने का निर्देश दिया गया है।
न्यायाधीश ने सिधाना को बड़ी राहत देते हुए कहा, "हम नहीं चाहते कि जेल भरो आंदोलन शुरू हो। ये राजनीतिक मुद्दे हैं। अगर वे (प्रदर्शनकारी) इस मुद्दे को उजागर करना चाहते हैं, तो क्या वे गलत हैं? मैं उन चीजों में हस्तक्षेप नहीं करूंगी जिनमें मौलिक अधिकार शामिल हैं।"
गौरतलब है कि 26 जनवरी को नए कृषि कानूनों के खिलाफ निकाली गई ट्रैक्टर परेड के दौरान प्रदर्शनकारी किसान पुलिस के साथ भिड़ गए थे और लाल किले में घुस गए और इसके प्राचीर पर धार्मिक झंडे फहराए। इस घटना में सैकड़ों पुलिसकर्मी घायल हो गए थे।
गिरफ्तारी के डर से लक्खा सिधाना ने अपने वकील जसप्रीत सिंह राय और जसदीप ढिल्लों के माध्यम से अग्रिम जमानत के लिए दिल्ली की तीस हजारी कोर्ट का रुख किया था। सिधाना के वकील ने कहा कि घटना में उसकी कोई भूमिका नहीं है।
पुलिस की ओर से पेश हुए लोक अभियोजक पंकज भाटिया ने अदालत को बताया कि सिधाना ने प्रदर्शनकारियों को लाल किले में आमंत्रित किया था और वह इस मामले में मुख्य साजिशकर्ताओं में से एक है।
वकील भाटिया ने कहा कि जब हिंसा हुई थी तब वह किला क्षेत्र के बाहर रहा था, इस पर न्यायाधीश ने कहा, "अगर उसकी उपस्थिति नहीं है, तो हम इसके बारे में कुछ नहीं कर सकते। अंतरिम सुरक्षा 20 जुलाई तक बढ़ा दी गई है।"
सिधाना ने इससे पहले गणतंत्र दिवस की हिंसा में शामिल होने से इनकार किया था। पुलिस के अनुसार, उसके खिलाफ लूट, हत्या और पुलिस पर हमले सहित लगभग 20 मामले दर्ज हैं।
