(KPLC) - A Sulphur man is under arrest for aggravated cruelty to animals. Officials with the Sulphur Police Department said Austin Lebrun, 21, told officers that he had locked the dog, Sadie, in a bedroom and had not checked on her in three to four weeks. Lebrun said he would stop by the house multiple times during the week and assumed she died but never opened the door to look, Capt. Jason Gully said in a news release. ....
A Sulphur man is in critical condition after being attacked by three dogs. Sulphur Police Capt. Jason Gully said the man was visiting a Platt Street residence to see a family member when the attack happened. Gully said the 27-year-old man was told not to go into the backyard due to the roommateâs dogs, âbut for some reason he entered the backyard.â There were also âBeware of Dogsâ signs posted. Gully said when officers arrived the man was on the ground inside the fenced-in yard being attacked by three large dogs. âOfficers used a Taser on one of the dogs, which resulted in all three dogs stopping their attack,â Gully said. âOfficers were then able to distract and lure the dogs to another part of yard while other officers entered the yard and pulled the male subject to safety.â ....
