After being based in Dallas for the last decade — and making tattoo trips across the region — Kinesha Glover opened Keno G Ink in the lower level of the 2000 Vine redevelopment project.
“They weren’t having it,” said Kinesha Glover, describing her customers' response the first time she relocated. “They were like, ‘You gotta come back. Whether you come tattoo at the house or set up at our friends’ shops, you gotta come back.’”
A strategic plan that encompasses neighborhoods more than a mile from Kansas City's skyscrapers and envisions downtown as an economic catalyst for that larger area was rolled out Tuesday by the Downtown Council.
The Kansas City Manager reported a phone call that he received from City Council member Teresa Loar in August. He viewed the call as an attempt to get him to intervene in negotiations for a concession contract at Kansas City International Airport.
