Large fields and competitive racing have combined to help The Meadowlands in New Jersey lead nighttime racetracks in wagering volume.
The Meadowlands, in concert with the New York Racing Association (NYRA) has announced that, again in 2023, many of the biggest stakes events on the Meadowlands calendar will be made available to a national television audience.
The total handle this year was $1.6 million more this year as compared to last, and that was with two fewer races.
The Meadowlands Racetrack hosts live harness racing every Friday and Saturday through the winter with a 6:20 p.m. post time.
“The wagering public wants 10-horse fields,” said track COO and General Manager Jason Settlemoir, “and The Meadowlands delivers.”
