A Grand Chute town supervisor is charged with illegally benefiting from a public contract, after his company got paid nearly $28,000 for landscaping work.
Grand Chute Town Supervisor Ron Wolff is charged with a felony for accepting a landscaping contract with Grand Chute while a member of the town board.
A judge ruled Friday that Grand Chute Supervisor Ron Wolff will be allowed to take a "good faith affirmative defense" at trial for having private interest in a public contract.
The full town board is scheduled to vote on Richard Downey's appointment Dec. 19.
Wolff's counter lawsuit alleges Jim March knew a landscaping contract violated state law but didn't stop the work or the payment of the bill.
