FAYETTEVILLE -- Washington County justices of the peace on Monday recommended spending about $8.8 million in federal covid relief money on a $20 million expansion of the county's Detention Center.
The Centerton Police Department will use $100,000 in grant money from the state to help buy ballistic vests, along with body and car cameras, Capt. Christopher Kelley said.
A motion was passed to use more than $700,000 to help with much needed maintenance at the jail.
