A brave nurse who 'took her own life' after struggling to cope when she lost three limbs to sepsis has been laid to rest following a horse-drawn procession through her home town.
People lined the streets to say farewell to Jayne Carpenter, 53, ahead of her funeral today at St Tydfil's Old Parish Church in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.
Jayne, who campaigned to highlight the dangers of sepsis, continued to dance and keep-fit using metal prosthetic legs that caused terrible pain and infections.
Her heartbroken husband Rob, 56, said she would have loved having four black horses for her funeral procession.

A nurse who had multiple limbs amputated after developing sepsis four years ago was found dead at home, an inquest heard.
Jayne Carpenter, 53, was found by her husband at her home in Merthyr Tydfil on 7 December, Pontypridd Coroner's Court was told.
She had phoned him to collect their dog from the house and he found her lying on the stairs, the hearing was told.
Coroner Rachel Knight adjourned the inquest until 17 February 2022.

A brave nurse who lost both her legs and an arm to sepsis was found hanged by her husband, an inquest heard today.
Jayne Carpenter, 53, from Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, was left with just one limb when she developed sepsis four years ago while suffering with a simple cough.
Courageous Ms Carpenter vowed to battle on by fundraising to get pioneering limb surgery not available on the NHS.
She had raised over £20,000 of her £265,000 target - but said she was 'not having quality of life but enduring it.'
Ms Carpenter lost her left arm below the elbow, both of her legs and four fingers on her right hand in total.
