New Breeding Techniques vs. Genetically Modified Organisms
In contrast with traditional genetic modification , new breeding techniques (NBTs) do not introduce foreign DNA into an organism. Instead, an edit  is made to a plant s existing DNA using molecular scissors known as CRISPR-Cas9.
