A flood warning has been issued through 10am Friday morning for areas of the upper Black River in St. Clair County. According to the St. Clair County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, snow melt has caused localized flooding along the river and it's tributaries leading to road closures. A final decision concerning a tax abatement proposal between Bastrop County and international renewable energy company RWE Renewables for a planned solar project won’t come until the new year after the Bastrop County Commissioners Court on Monday tabled the proposal.
