Photo by Craig Howell Weirton Council, during its meeting Monday night, paid tribute to the life and service of former city Fire Chief Dean Allen, who died March 16 at the age of 88. Allen’s family, joined by some of his fellow former firefighters, were presented a plaque with the American flag and a certificate in his memory by Mayor Harold Miller.
