Jemez Co-op Trustees Approve Audits for Poles and Meters


   Audits of poles and meters were the topics of discussion at the regular May 28 Jemez Mountains Electric Cooperative Board meeting.
    The Coop’s new General Manager Michael Hastings said neither audit had been done in years. The Board voted to approve a request for purchase to advertise for firms to handle the audit.
    “We need to do again,” Hastings said. “We’ve had a lot of demand for meters to go in over the last few years and it’s a good idea to check that those are working correctly.”
    Hastings also said the audits are a good time to train the Co-op’s meter techs alongside the auditors. ....
