Gearing up for a celebration like none other, this year's NYCxDESIGN Festival will showcase the immense breadth of the city's design scene.

Detroit-based artist and furniture designer Chris Schanck — known for his alufoil-surfacing technique — has a retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Art and Design. His sculptural furniture and lighting are made from found objects covered in foil.
