The famed improv comedy institution iO Theater is reopening Nov. 3, according to an announcement Wednesday.
The 63-year-old sketch comedy operation, headquartered throughout its history in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood, plans to open a theater in New York City.
Artists will perform at Laugh Factory, The Annoyance Theatre, The Den, and UP Comedy Club and Donny’s Skybox at The Second City.
The expo, running March 25-27, will bring together more than 170 stand-up comics and sketch/improv groups from Chicago, across the country and across the globe for 27 comedy showcases.
