Defender John McGreal returns to action this evening as the Blues take on former full-back Neil Thompson's Boston side at York Street.

A largely fringe Town side beat Neil Thompson's Boston 2-0 at York Street on Wednesday night. An early goal from Ian Westlake put the Blues ahead and Alun Armstrong added a 30-yard stunner seven minutes before the end.

Kevin Bru and David McGoldrick - from the penalty spot - twice gave the Blues the lead at Colchester but the U’s ran out 3-2 victors in the now-annual friendly at the Weston Homes Community Stadium. For the home side, Alex Gilbey scored twice and Gavin Massey a late, late winner.
