The deceased, Caden Mura, faced off with three officers from the Valparaiso Police Department and two from the Porter County Sheriff's Department, police said Tuesday.
Jesse Harper, of Valparaiso, was at Fairgrounds Park at approximately 2:15 p.m. Thursday when he witnessed police officers near the park and shots fired soon after.
