Gruesome Double Murder Case Comes to Close in Rutherford and Cannon County
A double-murder case from 2017 has come to a close with a guilty plea that was recently filed in a Rutherford County courtroom. Robert Jessie Mount opened fire on a man and two women in Woodbury, later fleeing the area and heading to Smyrna, Tennessee. The attack happened after Mount drove to Cannon County with the intent to burglarize the home of an acquaintance.While Mount was in the home, he heard a car pull up.
