Students cheered as high school English teacher Laura Jeanne Penrod was named “Nevada Teacher of the Year” during a surprise ceremony Tuesday.
The Carson City School District is pleased to announce Carson High School’s Lieutenant Commander Daniel Meyer, Retired, Senior Naval Science Instructor, was honored Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, as one of the three statewide finalists for the Nevada State Teacher of the Year, recognized by the Nevada Department of Education.
