Four former University of Northern Colorado athletes, including Greeley native and former Major League Baseball player and manager Tom Runnells, have been elected to the athletics hall of fame for its 30th anniversary, the athletic department announced Tuesday.
The dominant Greeley Central senior duo of Martin Mendoza and Reid Richardson highlighted an impressive team-oriented Wildcats performance, which led to a lopsided 76-46 boys hoops win against rival Greeley West on Wednesday in Jim Baggot Gymnasium.
Greeley Central will welcome 11 inductees into its athletic Hall of Fame during a ceremony between the girls and boys varsity basketball games this Thursday at Jim Baggot Gymnasium.
