The mask mandate for NASCAR drivers and crews is coming to an end. Beginning this weekend at Dover International Speedway, NASCAR is lifting the mask mandate inside the garage and pit areas for competitors. Last weekend NASCAR allowed 350 vaccinated sponsors and guests into the garage area at Darlington Raceway. The garage at Dover will be closed to outside guests but the following race at Circuit of the Americas in Texas will be open to 550 sponsors and guests. NASCAR is requring guests and media members in the garage area to be vaccinated, but not drivers or crew members. Track offering vaccines ....
Dover’s NASCAR weekend to offer shots Dover International Speedway is offering COVID-19 shots during its NASCAR weekend May 15 and 16. Walk-in clinics have also opened across the state. FILE PHOTO May 11, 2021 Four standalone clinics are now open for residents who still need a COVID-19 vaccination, including children 12 and older. The Delaware Division of Public Health said the clinics will remain open for the next several months, and are also available for people who want to make an appointment. To make appointments at these four new clinics – as well as at DPH clinics in state service centers – call 1-833-643-1715. Officials said these clinics use Pfizer vaccine, which was approved May 10 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for children 12 and older. Written parental consent is required to vaccinate individuals younger than 18 years old, officials said, but the parent is not required to be on site with the child during the vaccination. ....
NASCAR tripleheader weekend on deck May 14-16 April 8, 2021 Dover International Speedway has promoted four longtime employees as it prepares for its slate of 2021 major events at Dover International Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway, track officials announced.
