mreuther@sungazette.com Lycoming County commissioners took a step Tuesday toward the establishment of a health and wellness center for county employees. During their meeting Tuesday, they approved Integrity Health to begin the process of putting together a plan. Integrity Health was selected following a request for proposals from firms with expertise in providing those services. Commissioners claim having a walk-in health and wellness site located at one of the county’s properties will help save health care costs while keeping employees healthier. “We hope our employees take full advantage of this clinic,” Commissioner Tony Mussare said. Commissioner Scott Metzger said a health and wellness site can serve as a convenient means for employees to identify any health care concerns before they worsen. ....
Jan 26, 2021 LOCK HAVEN Every three years, STEP is required to gather a detailed picture of the needs and resources in their service area. A COVID-related survey was completed in the Spring of 2020 to assess the rapidly evolving crisis. The regular study was last completed in 2018, so it is time to reach out to residents again as part of the Community Needs Assessment (CNA). The community survey portion of the CNA and the partner survey that reaches other social service agencies will be online-only for the first time. All surveys can be accessed at www.stepcorp.org/cna. As usual, the completed Community Needs Assessment will include survey data plus demographic information about Lycoming and Clinton counties. ....
