As the story has unspooled, we have learned that the tiger fell into evil company, having been taken in by a dude who was a murder suspect. The police busted the guy, but the tiger got away cleanly and, at blogging time, it was still roaming the landscape and likely developing a taste for shih tzu tartare. It was an amazing few moments on the Intertoobz but, as Dan Solomon from Texas Monthly reports, recent Texas history has been studded with free-range tigers.
