After suing VA police for $1 million, Caron Nazario was awarded just $3,685 after being pepper sprayed and threatened during a traffic stop.

No state laws were violated by the Town of Windsor Police officers who allegedly pepper-sprayed, threatened and assaulted a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army during a traffic stop in December 2020.

The Commonwealth's Attorney's office said no state laws were violated by Windsor Police who allegedly pepper-sprayed, threatened and assaulted a U.S. Army second lieutenant during a traffic stop.

Windsor police tried to pull him over because they said he didn't have a rear licensed plate displayed. Nazario said he drove into a well-lit area to pull over but the officers thought it was a high risk traffic stop.
