9 & 10 News April 8, 2021 The group cleaned up parts of the North Country Trail in St. Ignace along Cheeseman Road. The organizer graduated from St. Ignace High School in 1983. He just retired from Google in California a couple weeks ago and came back to the area. This week, he rode his bike on the trail and noticed all the litter. That’s when he decided to take action. “It takes a few of us and we can actually do something about it and there is maybe some momentum around it that people may think twice before they use our trails as a dumping ground. This is only three days planning but maybe we can turn this into something on an annual basis,” said Joe Stearns. ....
