Bequests will provide college scholarships for hundreds
It’s the largest planned gift the Virginia Western Community College Foundation has ever received. Danville Community College got double – that was its largest bequest, too. The gifts came from the multimillion-dollar estate of John Bostian, an engineer, and Iris Proffitt Bostian, a housewife. Their only child, Joseph, who died in 1980, studied at both institutions.
