A pregnant teenager is on life support after a two-vehicle crash in Grant Hill, San Diego Police said Monday.

Officers ran after the armed man and after he disregarded several commands to stop and drop the weapon, they fired at him, SDPD Lt. Matt Dobbs said. Two SDPD officers discharged their service weapons and the man was struck at least once. The suspect was taken to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead. The gun the man was carrying was recovered at the scene as well as two additional guns found in the suspect's vehicle, Dobbs said. SAN DIEGO — San Diego police are investigating three shootings that occurred within a one-hour period early Sunday, with one victim suffering life-threatening injuries. The first shooting was reported around 2:50 a.m. at the intersection of Island Avenue and First Avenue in a downtown parking lot.
