With the recent move of Dick’s Sporting Goods from the Shoppes at Buckland Hills in Manchester, the shopping center now has two vacant anchor stores. Sears moved out of its space at the beginning of the year and Dick’s moved to the Plaza at Burr Corners, less than a mile south on Buckland Street and Tolland Turnpike. Nicholas Morizio, president of Colliers real estate agency in Hartford and New Haven, said indoor malls such as the Shoppes at Buckland Hills have become “kind of a dinosaur,” and they will have to adapt to keep up with the shift to e-commerce.
