Sophie: A Murder in West Cork will examine the murder of the French woman, which became one of Ireland’s most well-known crimes. TV documentary producer, Sophie Toscan du Plantier, was killed in West Cork in 1996. She was at her holiday home in the area in December 1996 and was found beaten to death two days before Christmas. The crime shocked the nation and became one of the biggest investigations the country had seen.
