BAYFIELD, ONT. -- Doris Manley got the inaugural ride in Bayfield’s newest mode of transportation. “Feels great. I’m pretty sure once he gets the motor running, it’ll move pretty easy, but it was a very good ride with him pushing,” says the Bayfield senior. The 96-year-old is the target demographic for Bayfield’s trishaws. The Town of Goderich is ready to unveil their new boardwalk along the waterfront. Work on the boardwalk began in 2019 after high water and waves caused erosion and damaged the boardwalk. Mayor John Grace says there is still a few finishing touches that need to be done before its scheduled opening on Canada Day. He believes the work can stand not only the test of time but just about anything mother nature throws at it.

  GODERICH, ONT. -- Goderich’s airport runs a deficit each year, and is chronically under utilized. It has some in the community questioning the future of the airport, but not the mayor. “It’s important that we zero in on this now, before it gets away from us. Once you lose an airport and don’t build that asset, you lose it forever,” says Goderich Mayor John Grace.
