Inclement weather: Pensacola to see storms, heavy squall lines
The entire area is under a wind advisory all day Wednesday. The biggest threat of severe weather will come through between 1 and 6 a.m. Navarre, Pensacola close beaches ahead of severe storms (2:30 p.m.) Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach have both closed the water to swimming due to turbulent conditions in the Gulf of Mexico. Navarre Beach is flying double red flags, meaning the water is closed to everyone but surfers. Pensacola Beach, which uses a different flag system than Navarre Beach, is flying a single red flag that also means the water is closed to swimmers except for surfers.
