The public will have the opportunity to address council members Nov. 7 before they vote on decisions concerning the city's plan to build a fiber optic network for high-speed internet.
The project area would run between North 21st and Belknap streets east of Tower Avenue if approved by the City Council Wednesday, July 5.
The City Council and a tech ommittee will be presented options for launching construction of city-owned broadband.
The estimated total cost for the project is $52.6 million, significantly higher than the $31 million projected in the city’s initial broadband master plan.
