Jan 9, 2021 Alva J. Motto, 75, of South Plymouth, died Monday, January 4, 2021 at her home.  She was the wife of the late Manuel J. Motto. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gordon S. and Jean (Brandt) Russell.  Mrs. Motto received her RN/BSN degree and trained at Boston City Hospital.  She previously lived in Provincetown where she was the town nurse.  In 1980, she moved to Wareham, then South Plymouth where she raised her family.  She was nursing director at Tremont Nursing Home and Plymouth Nursing Home and several other area nursing homes.
