The Great Indian Musical: Civilization To Nation’ is all set to unfold afresh at The Grand Theatre – the Cultural Centre’s 2000-seater performing arts marvel – starting September 21 this year.

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai has become a benchmark for theatrical experiences in India, with productions such as "The Sound of Music" and "West Side Story". Its opening show, "The Great Indian Musical: Civilization To Nation", which captures the spirit of India through its arts, will return to the Grand Theatre in September due to popular demand. The production features music by Bollywood duo Ajay-Atul and costumes by designer Manish Malhotra. The centre is home to three performing arts spaces and a visual arts space.

Mughal-e-Azam: The Musical, India's first Broadway-style adaptation of K. Asif's classic film, is on its North American debut tour.

For three short nights this July (14th - 16th), the very first original Broadway-style musical ever written and produced in India will make a stop on its first North American tour to Houston's very own Brown Theatre at the Wortham Center. Based on the 1960 Bollywood film of the same name directed by K. Asif and produced by Shapoorji Pallonji, this stage adaptation of Mughal-e-Azam is a ground-breaking new musical and love letter to South Asian history and legend.
