ONE of the animals at the zoo at Sewerby Hall and Gardens is celebrating a special birthday next week - and staff believe it's the oldest of its kind in the world. Rosie the Humboldt penguin will reach her 31st birthday on April 20 - and the zoo staff believe that she is the "oldest Humboldt penguin in the world". Reprieve for Craven taxis TAXI drivers have been given a reprieve over the compulsory fitting of CCTV cameras. Private hire vehicles and taxis in Craven were expected to pay around £500 to have safety cameras fitted by April, for the protection of both drivers and passengers. Nicholas was born on January 31, 1761, in Williamsburg and was the son of Robert Carter Nicholas and Anne Cary Nicholas. His father was a prominent member of the House of Burgesses and later treasurer of the colony and a judge of the state’s High Court of Chancery.
