With water levels on the decline, steelhead and brown trout are being found hunkering in where they can find cover.
Fishing continues to be very good in the lower Niagara River, with the best action being on the Niagara Bar; meanwhile high waters make fishing challenging on the Salmon and Oswego Rivers.
Salmon and trout are beginning to stage close to the mouths of tributaries and walleye action remains consistent.
The kings are staging closer to shore on Lake Ontario, while in the bays, largemouth are hitting along weedlines and points, and over in the river, walleyes and bass are hitting stickbaits.
Fishing continues to be good in our treasured Great Lakes as summer hits August. More derbies and tournaments are coming. The Bart’s Cove Duel at Dunkirk ended with a crazy
