​EXCITING plans to breathe new life into the desperately vacant Gilford Mill complex have been given a major boost, with the mill founder's direct descendant pressing for exciting £6m redevelopment proposals to be approved without further delay.

A DIRECT descendant of the Gilford Mill owners has appealed to the ABC Planning department to expedite exciting £6m development plans to finally turn the majestic – if empty – five-storey historic building into a vibrant commercial operation.
