Duddon & Furness Mountain Rescue Team receives boost in bid for new base
DUDDON & Furness Mountain Rescue Team are one step closer to their new base at Foxfield thanks to a donation from company Citrus Lime. The volunteer-run organisation received a cheque for £5,000 donated by Citrus Lime at their offices in Ulverston. Deputy leader John Wealthall said: “This donation is a fantastic help to bring us closer to our target. Our current site is incredibly rudimentary with nowhere to dry wet clothes after we have been out on a rescue. We’re about £150,000 off our target still so every penny counts.
