Charleston developer John H. Wellford III, 73, pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday, May 1, 2024, to falsifying bankruptcy records. According to U.S. Attorney Will Thompson, Wellford intentionally failed to disclose almost a million dollars that he transferred away from Corotoman Inc.
