Baxter met with about 20 residents Dec. 1 in a hearing looking at proposed street and quiet zone improvements for 2023. Many asked the council to postpone.
The council set up an improvement hearing at 6 p.m. Dec. 1, at Baxter City Hall.
The estimated cost of the improvement is $6,320,483 and a reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessment will be available at the hearing.
The city of Baxter has tentative plans for the full depth reclamation of six residential roads and one commercial road during 2023 and residents are concerned about assessment costs.
An open house about the reclamation of six Baxter city roads and extension of two paved trails is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Oct. 20.
