UNC School of the Arts Jazz Ensemble in Concert with Jon Metzger
Emerging Artist Series // Acclaimed alumnus and jazz vibraphonist Jon Metzger (M.M. ’94, B.M. ’81) will join the UNCSA Jazz Ensemble for its winter concert. Metzger is the author of “The Art and Language of Jazz Vibes,” one of the premier methods for his instrument. The Jazz Ensemble will serve up a program of the “melting pot” of jazz, celebrating the variety of style throughout the heyday of big band jazz. // Ronald Rudkin, Conductor // In-person event. The Downtown Little Rock Partnership, Central Arkansas Library System and Mexican Consulate of Little Rock will celebrate Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos), 5-8 p.m. Tuesday with an alley party in the alley just north of the Central Arkansas Library System's Main Library.
